The Parthenon at Bicentennial Park

Nashville’s Bicentennial Park is one of the best parks in town. With a life-sized replica of the Greek Parthenon overlooking a lush green lawn and a beautiful playground, the park makes a great spot for a picnic lunch, a play break and a bit of history. For families with older children, the Parthenon presents an excellent opportunity to teach your children about ancient Greek mythology. Inside the main hall of the building is a full-scale replica of the giant Athena statue which graced the interior of the original Parthenon in Athens. While Athena’s size might be frightening to some small children, she will certainly be remembered by the whole family.
