Kiawah Island is the place to be if your looking for a relaxing, and peaceful vacation getaway! Located 21 miles outside of historic Charleston, your still close enough to the excitement if you decide you’ve had enough rest. Not to mention, Kiawah also has it’s own array of activities. Kiawah Island offers fine dining, nightlife, shopping, spas, boating, watersports, golf and much more. There are many beautiful accomodations to choice from. Don’t forget to enjoy Kiawah’s 10 miles of gorgeous beaches.

There are at least 15 choices of fine dining restaurants to pick from. Among the choices for fine dining are Cindy’s Seafood & Country Market, Hege’s French Cuisine, Charleston Crab House, Chez Fish Restaurant and more.

Looking for the Nightlife. Kiawah Island is none for it’s quiet atmosphere after sunset. However, there are a few choices you can make. The Sanctuary offers live music in it’s lobby and cocktail lounge. Mingo Point is also famous for it’s “Mingo Point Parties” where theyplay live bluegrass music and throw oyster and BBQ bakes.

Shopping is a must at Kiawah Islands. The shopping lover can find sportswear, galleries, antique shops, fine apparel, dayspas and handcrafted jewelry. Kiawah also has a bike and kite shop. Rent a bike and take a ride on Kiawah’s lovely beaches. If you like boating, take a boat tour with Bohicket Marina Marketplace. There’s also fishing charter boats for the die-hard fisherman. You can also take a scenic sunset cruise that’s sure to make you smile.

Kiawah has plenty of activities for the little ones. There is a day camp at Night Heron Park for children ages 3 to 11. The Teens get to play Capture the Flag, black light volleyball, paint tag and Survivor challenges.

Kiaway offers lots of family orientated adventures. Let Sandlapper take you on a guided history tour, or collect exotic shells with Sea Island Excursions. At Sunset take a cruise with Sunset Dolphin and River Cruises. Your sure to see a dolphin, alligator or loggerhead turtle. Check out Blackbeard’s Cove Family Fun Park and play miniture golf, climb rock walls, play the arcades or pet the animals at animal land. Don’t foget James Island Country Park and get wet at the Splash Zone Water Park.
