In the summertime, there are tons of fun things to do in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The sun is shining, the skies are blue and with the many parks and activities there is truly something for everyone to enjoy. Tingley Beach
Tingley Beach is a great place to enjoy, with lakes for fishing, a pond to run model boats, and lovely surroundings to enjoy. The area boasts a train station, a gift shop and a with basic food options.

Albuquerque Rio Grande Botanical Garden
The Botanical Garden is a great place to visit with its beautiful outdoor gardens as well as its indoor glass conservatory that holds plants that are native to New Mexico as well as more exotic plants. In addition to the basic gardens, they also have a Children’s Fantasy Garden and a Sasebo Japanese Garden.

Rio Grande Zoo
The Rio Grande Zoo is always a great place to visit, but especially in the warmer months. The zoo has many different species of animals that are native as well as exotic. Some of the highlights include thehands-on lorikeet feedings and the sea lion exhibit.

Albuquerque Aquarium
The Albuquerque Aquarium is also a fun with its many native and tropical fish. Some favorites include the jellyfish and the eels.

Old Town
Old Town is the history and heart of Albuquerque. The plaza holds many traditional adobe-style shops and restaurants and holds the famous San Felipe de Neri Church.

Albuquerque Museum
The Albuquerque Museum holds many exhibits that celebrate Southwest history and culture. In addition to having permanent exhibits, the museum gets many special exhibits that come through as well.

Petroglyph Natural Monument
The Petroglyph Natural Monument is a special place that you should be sure to check out. It holds many natural resources such as dormant fissure volcanoes and over 25,000 archeological carvings by Native Americans as well as early Spanish settlers. You can also take a walk on the many trails and see many of the carvings up close.

Pueblo Indian Center
Go to the Pueblo Indian Center to learn about Native American culture. There are beautiful displays and if you visit on the weekend you can see fun native dances and ceremonies. You can take a walking tour of Old Town through the Albuquerque Museum.
