Things to do for Halloween in Boston Mass

The are many different things that you can do in Boston to celebrate Halloween. Boston has its fair share of ghosts and goblins and with a history that spans almost 400 years there have been plenty of opportunities for ghosts to be raised here.

Ghost and Graveyards Tour

You don’t have to wait for Halloween to take this tour but taking it around Halloween adds a certain something to the whole experience. You will get on one of trolleys in front of the Marriott on the Harbor Hotel and begin by visiting some of the graveyards that Boston is famous for. Your first stop is Copps Hill Burying Ground and then it’s on to the Granary Burying Ground. Along the way you will be entertained with stories from the darker side of Boston’s history.

This will be one of the most entertaining two hours that you will ever spend and if the hair rises on the back of your neck from time to time, all the better. Reservations are required as are comfortable shoes. You do need to be able to climb stairs and walk on uneven ground.

Pru Boo Trick-or-Treating

If you are looking for a safe place to take the kids to trick or treat and also make a donation to the Child Protection Resources then going to the Prudential Center to celebrate Halloween on October 25th will be an event that both you and your children will enjoy. The children can make the rounds of the Shops at Prudential Center to collect candy, have their faces painted and enjoy the other entertainment that will be offered. You purchase your bag for $4 at the Customer Service Desk and you can pre buy it anytime after October 1. There will be tables set up on the day of the event, Sunday October 25, 2009

Zoo Howl at Franklin Park Zoo

The weekend of October 24-25 pack up the kids and head to the Franklin Park Zoo. Don’t forget to bring along your bags to go trick or treating. There will be a haunting good time had by all. The kids can participate in the Halloween costume contest or walk in the haunted maze. All this while enjoy all the excitement that is always available at the Franklin Park Zoo

Mall Trick or Treating

Twas the night before Halloween and if you bring a canned food item to the customer service desk you can receive one of the bags to use on a costumed walk through the Mall . The Shops at Cambridge will be giving out tricks and treats to the children from 4-6pm.

Halloween Town

When it comes to big Halloween events Halloween Town is the biggest and the best that Boston has to offer. On the Weekend of October 24-25 . This year’s headline act is Dan Zanes who will be performing on the main stage. There will be nonstop activities going on all day long. Your kids will meet their favorite characters, play laser tag, decorate pumpkins and of course trick or treat. This is a perfect place to celebrate Halloween in a safe environment that also benefits the Boston Medical Center.
