Jordan Creek Town Center

Jordan Creek Town Center is the largest mall in the Des Moines metro area. The label as a town center indicates the diverse shopping and entertainment choices featured in the impressive venue. This shopper’s paradise is presented in three districts set on property covering over 2 million square feet.

In addition to the enclosed two story mall known as The Shopping District, several shops and chain stores are located within a few blocks of the tradition mall area. These retail outlets are called The Village. South of this area, additional amenities featuring a hotel, amphitheater, Century Des Moines Jordan Creek 20, and restaurants with a lakeside view, are collectively known as The Lake District. For those looking to socialize with dinner and a movie, there is no need to face the shopping crowd. The scenic view offered from the walking path winding around the 3.5 acre lake is another popular feature for visitors and local residents. Locals take advantage of the bike trail on a year-round basis. Combined, these three districts abound with shopping and entertainment opportunities.

The Shopping District is located in a traditional mall setting designed in modern decor. Popular national chain stores along with unique upscale shops offer apparel for a wide range of styles. Clothing and accessories for all ages, sizes and budgets are available here. Along with sporting goods giant Scheels, Dillards and Younkers department stores anchor the enclosed mall facility. Families enjoy shopping in the traditional mall area which features a large indoor playground for toddlers called the PlayPlace. Located between Dillards and Scheels, it’s a great place for tired adults to take a break and allow the little ones time to play. The PlayPlace, stroller rentals and other convenient services such as well located clean restrooms make this a family friendly experience.

For those shoppers who would rather drive into a parking lot to browse in one specific store, big retailers such as Best Buy, Costco, Old Navy and many others are located within a few blocks of the mall area. These retailers housed separately are collectively known as The Village District. The only Apple Inc. store in Iowa is another destination place for regional shoppers located in this district. From apparel, to appliances, to furniture and groceries, items on anyone’s list can be filled. Those looking for pampering will find places to get haircuts, manicures, or a well-deserved massage. Jordan Creek Town Center’s three districts have it all.

When shoppers get hungry, they should be able to find whatever appeals to their palette. A wide range of dining choices includes destination restaurants like the popular Cheesecake Factory. Several chains such as Joe’s Crab Shack and Buffalo Wild Wings offer familiar menus. Feasting on unique cuisine ranging from Japanese at Samurai Sushi & Hibachi, to Italian at Bravo! Cucina Italian, there is a diverse collection of eating establishments. Jordan Creek Town Center offers fast food as well as upscale dining to suit the needs of all its customers. In addition, if parents choose a sit down meal, they don’t need to worry about seating in the restaurant, as most public places in Iowa are smoke free
