Let’s get down to those golfing facts. There are fifteen golf courses all within a half hour of Destin. The top five are as follows:

Emerald Bay
In 1992 Golf Digest voted Emerald Bay one of the best new courses in America. It was designed by golf veteran Bob Cupp and has 18 holes of spectacular scenery to behold. While you’re waiting for your turn you can just take in the beautiful view, and feel the warm relaxing sea breeze, wafting in off the Choctaywhatchee Bay. Emerald Bay is part of the Seascape Golf and Tennis Resort and is a five-minute drive from Destin. Their address is 40001 Emerald Coast Parkway, Destin Florida.

Seascape
Seascape is one of Destin’s most popular courses to play that offers some challenging shots. A golfer really has to figure out how he is going to make his shots on this course, due to the landscaping being rather tricky. You can actually walk out of your villa in the morning in your pajamas and play golf while still sipping your coffee. Seascape is also part of the Seascape Golf and Tennis Resort and is just a few minutes from Destin. Their address is 100 Seascape Drive, Destin, Florida.

Hidden Creek Golf Club
If it’s a challenging golf experience you want then Hidden Creek has it. Hidden Creek is well known for it’s fast greens, lush landscaping and for it’s excellent service. Hidden Creek was the site of the U. S. Open Qualifying Rounds at one time. They also have a scoreboard where everyone can see what a great player you are. There are four courses: The Raven, Burnt Pine, Baytowne and Linkcourse all of which have 18 holes and are designed for all skill levels. After your hard day on the course, take a dip in one of the beautiful pools, or get a spa treatment, after all you deserve it. The Sandestin is located at 9300 Grand Blvd, Destin, Florida.

Shalimar Pointe Country Club
Shalimar Pointe has an incredibly perfect setting for playing golf, swimming, or just sitting back and watching the sunset. They have a spectacular 18- hole golf course here, where you can get the seasoned expertise of actual tournament players who can give you pointers whether you’re just a beginner or more of a pro.
