Guide to Nightlife in Danbury Ct

Danbury, Connecticut is a great city to head out to if you enjoy the nightlife. Conveniently located off major highways and routes, the area is easy to access and there are lots of terrific places you can go if you’re looking to have a nice night on the town with a date or simply to hang with friends.

If you’re into the club scene there are a few places you can check out or if a quiet date is more your style you can also try a movie or quiet dinner for two. Here are some of my top picks for a night out on the town in Danbury, CT:

*Molly Darcy’s

This Irish pub and restaurant is one of the most happening places to go. In the earlier part of the evening it is a traditional restaurant and pub with a family friendly environment, but as evening closes and nighttime sets in it transforms into one of the hottest nightclubs around. Every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night hosts live music featuring local talent.

It is often a good time to get there early. If you arrive by 8:00 pm, this is a great time to have a bite to eat and already be in the club before it gets crowded. Due to the club’s popularity this place gets filled up quickly. Even when the live music takes a break, there is always jukebox music blasting and lots of dancing still going on. Many people tend to stay late and close this club down.

*Teddy’s Nightclub

Located in the Holiday Inn, Teddy’s is a great place to go in order to unwind after a long week. From Wednesday to Sunday you can experience a variety of themes such as Oldie’s Night, Karaoke, Friday Night Barbeque, and Sunday Night Singles. Saturday night offers a variety of music you can tap your feet or go out dancing.

Monday through Friday Teddy’s offers themed happy hour buffets which you can indulge in before the entertainment starts. The happy hour runs from 4:00 to 8:00 pm and there is a two drink minimum.

*Boston Billiards Club

If you like to kick back with friends and enjoy a drink over a fun game of pool, Boston Billiards Club is the place to go. The environment is friendly, a spacious bar, food is pretty good and the pool hall is one of the best around. You can sit back at the bar and listen to music or watch one of the many T.V. or you can spend your time shooting pool. Saturday nights from 10:00 pm to midnight is DJ 80’s night.

*Dinner and a movie

If a quiet night on the town is what you’re looking for, why not go for a dinner and a movie? There are several good restaurants in the vicinity (try Molly Darcy’s, or you can grab a bite to eat at the Danbury Fair Mall and then head over to the Loew’s movie theatre for either a quite or action packed movie with your date.

There is plenty to do in Danbury, Connecticut and because of the area’s convenient location nearby highways such as I-84, I-684, Route 7 and Route 22 people come out from the surrounding counties and New York State for a night out on the town in Danbury.
