Chef Eric Greenspan has brought his own brand of Modern American cuisine to his new 90 seat restaurant The Foundry on Melrose. This year he will be offering a three course Thanksgiving menu that combines tradition with the exceptional.

The main course will of course be the Turkey but this is not your momma turkey. This is a butter poached turkey served with  stuffing, yams and cranberry and arugala salad. The first course offers a choice of sunchoke soup, green bean and shallot salad or butternut squash risotto. They offer a choice of desserts as well, pumpkin cheesecake or pecan tart. At $45 per person this will be a delicious choice of Thanksgiving dinner that will make you wonder why you ever thought you should cook at home.

Gordon  Ramsay at the London

Gordan Ramsay has made a name for himself not just with his acerbic bashing of potential chefs and restaurant owners but also for the quality of his food. Gordon Ramsay at the London in West Hollywood is offering a four course menu that will blow you away.

The first course offers butter lettuce salad, pumpkin soup and sweet yellow corn chowder; second course offers butternut squash and duck risotto, green bean salad with goat cheese fritters or baked oysters and sautéed spinach. The Main Course offers a lot of options roast organic turkey with sage dressing, crispy striped bass with roasted peppers, prime rib eye steak with horseradish potatoes or braised Braised pork. Finish up your meal with a choice of apple crisp with fennel ice cream, lemon cream tart with sweet pastry, pecan pie chocolate or pumpkin soufflé with nutmeg whipped cream. This feast doesn’t come cheap at $95 per person but after all, Thanksgiving only comes once a year.

Mistral in Sherman Oaks is offering a four course pre-fixe menu. The meal begins with an amuse of grilled shrimp or potato pancakes with apple cranberry chutney. The first course offers a choice of mushroom soup, Japanese pumpkin ravioli or mixed salad with pear, walnuts and blue cheese. The main courses include roast turkey, pan roasted white fish or prime filet mignon. The finishing course is a choice of brown sugar cheesecake with berries, chocolate soufflé or pumpkin pie. The cost is $54 for the meal.
