Places to Eat at Disneys California Adventure

Disney’s California Adventure is a wonderful place to visit.  The attractions are fun.  The scenery is beautiful.  It also has some of the best food that Disneyland resort has to offer.  From the higher end offereings like Wine Country Trattoria and Ariel’s Grotto to the ice cream stands dotting the park, there are some delicious offerings.  Unlike Disneyland, alcohol is served in many of these places as well, making it a better adult destination as well.

The best place to eat in the park is at Ariel’s Grotto.  They offer breakfast, lunch and dinner.  The lunch and dinner here is what you want to indulge in.  Depending on the ages of your party, you may prefer a lunchtime dinner where your own little princesses can interact with the Disney Princesses, including getting their pictures taken with the restaurant’s namesake, Ariel.  If you have more adults, or even young men in your party, you may prefer the dinner with preferred seating for the World of Color spectacular.  Either way, there are two things on the menu that you must consider when ordering.  The first that you may want to consider is their Santa Maria tri-tip.  You can smell this cooking as you walk by the restaurant, and the smell is likely to draw you in.  It is marinated to perfection then slow roasted to medium.  It is very tender and will leave you wanting more.  Then there is the grilled redfish.  This is marinated in mild spices and grilled to flaky perfection, and will leave your mouth watering.  These are the two best offerings here.

It’s possible that you don’t want to spend quite that much on a meal.  In that case, head over to Pacific Wharf.  Here you have what appears in essence to be a food court, with three different kids of offerings.  At the Pacific Wharf Cafe, you can get soup or salad in a sourdough bread bowl, that is absolutely delicious.  They also have delicious cold cut sandwiches.  Being right next door to the Boudin Bakery, all of their bread is super fresh.  In this area, there are also Asian Rice bowls available as well as Mexican food.  This is one of the best areas to eat in if you have picky eaters.  Not too far from here, there is also the Farmer’s Market where they have corn dogs, chicken strips, and good old fashioned fish and chips.

If this is not your taste, try the hot dog stand on Hollywood Blvd.  Fresh, delicious hot dogs, and chili dogs.  They also have rice crispy treat stars for your dessert.  If you prefer barbeque flavor, then head over to Soarin’ Over California.  Right next door you will find delicious barbeque ribs that may require more than one wet-nap, but are so worth it.  They are dellicious.  This place also serves burgers and fries, but the barbeque is the best choice here.  If you prefer Italian, Pizza Oom Mow Mow may be right up your alley.  Specializing mostly in pizza, but also offering a delicious chicken fusilli pasta or spaghetti, this place has something for most tastes.

There are also various ice cream offerings for a hot day, and don’t miss the churros in the evenings.  No matter what your taste is, you are sure to find someplace that you love here.
